Siliguri, 26th June: The Siliguri Metropolitan Police is determined to build a drug-free society. The Police are frequently launching operations in different areas of the city and recovering illicit drugs.
The NJP police, based on a tip-off, launched operations on Friday and recovered banned intoxicating tablets from the Siliguri South Shantinagar area. A youth, identified as Asit Chakraborty, was arrested in the incident.
According to police sources, the arrested youth has been involved in this business for a long time. He was taken to Jalpaiguri court on Saturday.
