Siliguri, 11th February: NJP police, based on a tip-off, launched an operation and arrested a youth on the charge of burglary.
A stolen pickup van was seized from his possession. The arrested has been identified as Laxman Barman. He is a resident of Gajoldoba Takimari and a driver by profession.
According to police sources, Barman used to hire vehicles from people and sell them in Dalkhola and its adjoining areas. Two consecutive car theft complaints were lodged in January. Barman was produced at the Jalpaiguri court today.
