Siliguri, 10th September: The NJP police arrested a man with 59 kgs of cannabis. The arrested accused has been identified as Gaur Das, resident of Shantipara in Siliguri.
It has been learned that Gaur Das was on his way to Bihar from Cooch Behar with cannabis hidden in the secret chamber of a pickup van. The Police, acting on a tip-off, arrested Gaur Das. 59 kgs of cannabis were recovered from his vehicle.
The arrested accused was produced at the Jalpaiguri court on Friday. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
