Siliguri, 07th March: The NJP police arrested a man on charges of stealing a truck. The arrested accused has been identified as Sameer Yadav alias Bhandur. He was produced at the Jalpaiguri court on Sunday.
As per the reports, a truck was stolen at the Fulbari border yesterday. Following this, the vehicle owner Sapibar Rahman lodged a complaint at the NJP police station. Based on the complaint, the police launched investigations and recovered the stolen truck within 12 hours.
According to police sources, the accused Samir Yadav was earlier arrested too for stealing batteries from a boulder-laden vehicle parked at the Fulbari border.
