Siliguri, 11th January: Lattu Singh (19) has been arrested on the charges of rape. The incident surfaced from the Kanchanbari area under Fulbari-2 region.
Allegedly, Lattu Singh raped a woman multiple times by intimidating her. The victim lodged a complaint against Singh at NJP police station on August 23 last year. Since then, the accused had been absconding.
After five long months, the NJP police, based on a tip-off, launched operations and arrested the accused from his house on Sunday. Lattu Singh was sent to Jalpaiguri court on Monday.
