NJP Murder Case: Mass memorandum submitted at the police station demanding justice

Siliguri, 21st June: In a display of outrage, local residents submitted a mass memorandum to the NJP police station demanding swift and severe punishment for those responsible for the recent murder case in Ward No. 35 of Siliguri.


According to reports, on Thursday night, the residents of Roy Para under Ward number 35 in Siliguri staged a protest outside the NJP police station with placards demanding justice for the victim. Subsequently, a memorandum was handed over to OC Nirmal Das of the NJP police station.

The family of the deceased and the locals complained that a formal complaint was lodged at the police station a day after the incident. Meanwhile, the accused criminals have surrendered in the Jalpaiguri Court and avoided law enforcement. The locals asserted that the police were responsible for the matter. Furthermore, the public is enraged by the consequent death threats faced upon speaking up against the criminals. As a result, they sought severe punishment against the criminals.
