Nikhil Banga Shikshak Samiti  issued memorandum to Jalpaiguri DM in support of various demands

Jalpaiguri, 23rd February: The Nikhil Banga Shikshak Samiti as well as the Nikhil Banga Primary Shikshak Samiti Jalpaiguri branch, on Tuesday, issued a memorandum to the Jalpaiguri district magistrate demanding complete security for the polling staff and exemption of pregnant women from election duty.


Biplob Jha, secretary of Nikhil Banga Primary Shikshak Samiti, said that the upcoming assembly polls should ensure complete security for the polling staff. Besides, pregnant teachers and mothers who have children below 5 years of age should be exempted from election duty. 

He further stated that although some teachers of Jalpaiguri are scheduled to undergo training at Alipurduar tomorrow, no means of transportation has been arranged for them to reach the training centre.
