Siliguri, 02nd February: The NJP branch of NF Railway Mazdoor Union staged a protest on Tuesday opposing the privatization of railways as well as in support of various demands.
Reportedly, a sit-in protest was held in front of NJP’s ADRM office in the presence of Ashish Biswas, general secretary of NF Railway Mazdoor Union. A memorandum was also handed over in support of various demands.
Ashish Biswas said that their organization will continue to protest against the privatization of railways. Apart from this, he alleged that the recruitment process has been stopped on behalf of the central government. The process of laying off workers has also started.
