Siliguri, 30th August: Darjeeling Himalayan Railway’s new toy train ‘Jungle Tea Safari’ from Siliguri Junction to Rongtong Station, was launched on Monday. The train will leave from Junction station at 2.45 pm every day. As of now, the fare has been fixed at Rs 970 per passenger.
The Darjeeling Himalayan authorities are ensuring that tourists can completely enjoy the beauty of the forests and tea gardens while travelling on this train.
Earlier, Darjeeling Himalayan Railway had launched this jungle safari but it was not successful as only a handful of tourists booked the train in a day. The safari has been launched once again soon after toy train services have returned to normalcy.
Fare is too much. It won’t be successful because of this. It should’ve been below 500 rs.
Fare is unrealistic. This mentality should be changed that all tourists are ready to spend any amount for anything.
