Siliguri, 04th August: A new wide coverage control room comprising of 80 CCTV cameras was inaugurated in the Matigara Police Station, on Friday. The CCTV cameras were installed under the initiative of the Siliguri Police Commissionerate with the aim to monitor the law and order situation and to strengthen the city’s security system.
As per reports, the new CCTV camera control room was inaugurated by Siliguri Police Commissioner Akhilesh Kumar Chaturvedi. Cameras have been installed in several areas including Khaprail More, Balasan Bridge, Paribahan Nagar, and Biswas Colony of Matigara.
The Siliguri Police Commissionerate has taken significant measures to enhance citywide security by strategically installing CCTV cameras at multiple locations. This proactive initiative aims to deter criminal activities, uphold law and order, and fortify the overall security infrastructure of the city.
