NBD Minister Udayan Guha meets families of Bagdogra road accident victims

Siliguri, 13th August: North Bengal Development (NBD) Minister Udayan Guha met with the families of the six devotees who tragically died in a road accident on their way to Junglee Baba Temple in Bagdogra. The incident occurred on the last Monday of the month of Sawan.


On Tuesday, Minister Guha visited Danagachh in Phansidewa, where he expressed his condolences and assured the families of all possible support. He was accompanied by Darjeeling District TMC President Papiya Ghosh, Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh, Sahakari Sabhadhipati Roma Reshmi Ekka, Block Trinamool President Kajal Ghosh, and former MLA Chotan Kisku.

Minister Guha described the incident as deeply saddening and pledged to report the matter to the Chief Minister. He reassured the families that the government stands by them during this difficult time.


Addressing concerns about the lack of a cremation ground in the area, the minister mentioned that public representatives are already looking into the issue.
