Rajganj, 06th June: The Nazrul Library in Bhola Para, Sukhani Gram Panchayat of Rajganj Block, has been closed for nearly three years due to the absence of a librarian.
Established in 1972, the library shut its doors in 2021 following the retirement of its librarian and assistant librarian. Reportedly, the prolonged closure has led to the loss of many books, causing frustration among local residents.
Significantly, the community is urging the administration to address the issue promptly by appointing a new librarian to reopen the facility.
Israel Haque, Upa Pradhan of Sukhani Gram Panchayat, acknowledged the closure and assured that he would notify higher authorities to expedite the reopening of the library.
