Naxalbari, 16th July: Van Mahotsav is being celebrated across the state with great enthusiasm. As part of the festivities, Naxalbari Sarada Vidya Mandir organized a sapling distribution event at the Naxalbari bus stand and Babupara on Tuesday.
Various species of saplings were handed out to pedestrians, e-rickshaw drivers, and bus drivers. The event was graced by the presence of the school’s head teacher, Sujit Das, along with other notable individuals.
Commenting on the initiative, Sujit Das emphasized the importance of this step in preserving nature and restoring it to its former glory. A total of 5,000 saplings will be distributed until July 21 as part of this green initiative.
