Naxalbari Handicapped Welfare Society observes World Disabled Day

Naxalbari, 03rd December: The Naxalbari Handicapped Welfare Society celebrated the 27th World Disabled Day with various events aimed at spreading awareness and promoting inclusivity.


The celebrations began with a procession in Naxalbari, where awareness messages were shared with participants and onlookers. Following the procession, the society organized a health check-up camp and a drawing competition.

The event saw the presence of several dignitaries, including Naxalbari Panchayat Samiti Sabhapati Anand Ghosh, former MLA Shankar Malakar, Society President Ganesh Chandra Dey, and Pradhan Jayanti Kiro, among others.


Speaking on the occasion, Society Vice President Biswajit Basu highlighted that the day was marked through a range of programs involving brothers and sisters with special needs.

Additionally, the Sabhapati of Naxalbari Panchayat Samiti stated that all support requested by the society had been provided and assured continued assistance in the future. He also informed attendees about the benefits of various state government humanitarian projects.
