Falakata, 04th April: A married woman’s death under mysterious circumstances in Ashrampara area under Ghoksadanga police station sparked allegations against her husband. The deceased has been identified as Sarmishtha Pal Mitra.
According to the details revealed by family sources, the family had received the news that Sarmishtha was unwell at around 12 a.m. on Wednesday night. Subsequently, they reached her in-laws’s residence and found Sarmishtha unconscious on the floor. Promptly, she was rushed to Falakata Super Speciality Hospital where the doctors declared her dead. In this regard, Sarmishtha’s family alleged that her husband Raju Mitra had strangulated her.
Meanwhile, a complaint has been lodged at the police station. Later, the police transported the deceased body for a post-mortem examination. At present, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire turn of events.
