Siliguri, 23rd November: A shocking incident came to light in Siliguri on Sunday morning after the mutilated body of a youth was found under the Chamta railway bridge.
Reportedly, local residents first spotted the body and immediately informed Matigara police station and the railway police.
The Junction Town GRP recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for post-mortem examination.
According to local sources, the youth was walking along the railway tracks in the morning when a high-speed train struck him, causing instant death. The impact caused his body to fall under the railway bridge.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed. He is estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old. Police are actively working to identify the youth and investigate the incident.
