Siliguri, 22nd November: In a recent update on the Rajaholi murder case over ‘Dadagiri tax’ family members of the deceased and local residents gathered for a protest at the NJP police station demanding the arrest of the others involved in the killing.

The incident involved the brutal beating of Mohammad Zuhuri in the Rajaholi area by several individuals over a dispute related to extortion money (known as “Dadagiri tax”) on November 1. The attack led to his death, sparking widespread tension in the area.

Initially, the police managed to arrest one suspect, and later another, in connection with the crime. However, the family claimed that several other accused are still evading arrest.

On Friday, the family and local residents staged a protest in front of the NJP police station, urging authorities to take swift action and apprehend the remaining culprits. They also submitted a memorandum to the station officials demanding justice.
