Darjeeling, 01st November: Darjeeling MP Raju Bista extended his warm greetings and welcomed that West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar, who is on a month-long visit to Darjeeling.
After arriving in Siliguri from Kolkata on Saturday, Governor Dhankhar left for Darjeeling today, for the first time in his ten-year term.
MP Bista, taking to Twitter, welcomed that Governor to the hills on behalf of the people of Darjeeling Hills, Terai, and Dooars.
“In Hon’ble Governor Sir, the people have found a guardian, who has stood firm like a rock in support of the democratic values, people’s rights and given voice to the millions, whose voices would otherwise never be heard,” Bista tweeted.

The MP further added that the Governor’s empathy and deep concern for the welfare of the people has endeared him to all the people across the region and state.
Hon'ble Governor Sir will be staying at his Darjeeling residence for a month to review the prevailing situations in our region and to understand local issues and problems faced by the people of the region.
