Siliguri, 13th May: A few days ago, Siliguri Times covered a piece of news regarding a family of the Siliguri Ward No. 46 Kadamtala area, struggling to feed her three children.
Due to the ongoing lockdown, Deepa Sharma, with no source of income and very little savings left, desperately sought help from the administration to feed her three children.
In response to her request, several social activists namely Sudipto Bhowmick and Mallika Debnath Roy stepped forward to help the needy family. Another social worker, Bikash Ghosh, a resident of the Siliguri Ward No. 7 Vidyasagar Pally area, handed over ration to the family today and further assured of helping her during the entire lockdown period.
