Siliguri, 13th December: Siliguri is facing a monkey menace that seems to have no end in sight. Reportedly, for the last one week, monkey troops have been entering houses in the Ashrampara area of Siliguri in search of food and destroying several household items and valuables.
Animal lovers said that the monkeys must be coming to the locality from the forest in search of food. Meanwhile, troubled residents have already informed the forest department about the matter.
A local named Paltan Patra said that a group of 40-50 monkeys is spotted around the house, roof, and playground. All are afraid that these monkeys might attack children at any moment.
