Siliguri, 21st January: The Surynagar Social Welfare Organization organized the 26th edition of the Mobile Blood Donation Festival in Siliguri.
On Tuesday afternoon, the organization hosted a procession that began at Baghajatin Park, passed through various city streets, and returned to the park. Siliguri Municipal Corporation Mayor Gautam Deb, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Suryanagar Social Welfare Organization members, volunteers from various other social organizations, and nursing students attended the event.
Event convener Dhiraj Das announced that this year marks the 26th edition of the Mobile Blood Donation Festival, which will continue until January 26.
Dr. Sandeep Sengupta emphasized the need for increased awareness about blood donation and commended the Suryanagar Social Welfare Organization and other groups for their leadership in promoting this cause.
Meanwhile, Mayor Gautam Deb expressed optimism, noting that the Suryanagar Social Welfare Organization has served the community for 26 years and hoped the initiative would inspire more people to participate in future blood donation drives.
