Bagdogra, 12th September: An unsettling incident unfolded in the Bagdogra police station area, where two women were reportedly subjected to a brutal assault by local residents over allegations of running a prostitution business by drugging a minor.
Local sources reveal that these two women had allegedly been conducting a sex trade operation from their residence for an extended period. It’s alleged that they entangled a local student in their activities, taking her to various locations over several months. The situation came to light when the minor gathered the courage to disclose the entire matter to her mother. Following this revelation, enraged locals apprehended the accused women, thrashed them and cut their hair.
Bagdogra police swiftly responded to the incident and detained the two women. The minor’s mother filed an official complaint against them at Bagdogra police station. She detailed how the women had lured her daughter under the guise of going for walks and then forced her into consuming intoxicants, including sleeping pills, exploiting her in prostitution.
