Darjeeling, 17th August: MLA Neeraj Zimba has been continuously distributing relief materials among people living in remote areas of the hills in view of the coronavirus outbreak. The campaigns are being conducted under the guidance of Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) President Mann Ghising through the GNLF Samajik Seva Abhiyan.
Amidst such a campaign, Anand Rai, a resident of Gorabari Fatak, had informed MLA Zimba regarding a mishap that occurred in the house of Sharan Rai, a resident of Sonada Gorabari Mandir Dara. Sharan’s house was completely destroyed in a catastrophic fire caused by a gas cylinder leak.
The MLA visited the said area, on Sunday, and visited Sharan Rai’s house. Zimba provided financial assistance, tin roof and tarpaulin for the reconstruction of the house destroyed in the fire.
The victim, Sharan Rai, expressed his gratitude towards MLA Neeraj Zimba. He also appreciated Anand Rai for informing the MLA.
