Rajganj, 10th March: Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy laid the foundation stone for the construction of a concrete road at Ambari area under Binnaguri Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block. The road will be built with financial assistance from the Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority (SJDA).
According to sources, the road construction will be carried out at an estimated cost of around Rs 58 lakh. The foundation stone was laid on Tuesday in the presence of several local leaders and residents.
Among those present were Binnaguri Gram Panchayat Pradhan Samijuddin Ahmed, Anchal president Bijoy Das, Dipen Pramanik, Tushar Dutta, Bhaskar Roy and other local leaders.
The road in the area had been in poor condition for a long time. Locals believe that the construction of the new concrete road will significantly ease transportation for residents.
