Missing student found safe in Siliguri after leaving home over low Madhyamik marks

Siliguri, 03rd May: The student who went missing after receiving low marks in the Madhyamik examination has been found safe and sound by the NJP GRP and Monitoring Cell team.


According to reports, the results of the Madhyamik examination were declared on Friday. Distressed over scoring low marks, the student left home due to mental stress. Following the incident, the family lodged a complaint with NJP GRP.

Acting promptly, a search operation was launched by the NJP GRP and Monitoring Cell. The student was eventually located and rescued from the Bhakti Nagar area on Friday night.


After being found, the student was presented before the Jalpaiguri Child Welfare Committee. NJP GRP has urged parents not to exert mental pressure on children over exam results. The family, relieved to have their child back safely, expressed gratitude to the NJP GRP team.
