Rajganj, 27th February: The sudden recovery of the deceased body of an individual, two days after his disappearance, sparked concerns in Belakoba. On Tuesday morning, a lifeless body was found on the side of the sewerage at Shikarpur Hat in Belakoba of the Rajganj Block. The deceased individual has been identified as Biswanath Basak (53), a resident of the Basak Para region under the Shikarpur Gram Panchayat.
Family sources revealed that Biswanath Basak formerly worked as a cook in the Murgivita area of Shikarpur Gram Panchayat. On Sunday, Biswanath unexpectedly did not return home after work. Subsequently, on Monday, a missing complaint was lodged at the Belakoba Outpost following a search operation at several locations. However, earlier on Tuesday, the deceased body of the missing Biswanath Basak was recovered from the sewerage of Shikarpur Hat.
In this regard, the family of the deceased speculate that Biswanath was allegedly murdered and later his body was dumped in the location. Meanwhile, upon receiving the information, the officials of the Belakoba Outpost promptly arrived at the location, recovered the body, and sent it for an autopsy. At present, the entire incident is under further investigation.
