Siliguri, 01st September: The Siliguri police rescued a minor girl from the East Burdwan road area, last night. One youth, identified as Tushar Malik, has been arrested in the incident.
As per the report, the said girl from Siliguri Mahabirsthan went missing since August 24. Being unable to trace her whereabouts, her family filed a kidnapping case at the Siliguri police station on August 26.
Based on the complaint, the Siliguri police launched an investigation and learned that the missing girl and Shaktigarh’s resident Tushar Malik acquainted through a social network site.
Later, a team of Siliguri police launched operations at the Shaktigarh area of East Burdwan and rescued the minor. Besides, Tushar was arrested and brought to Siliguri. The arrested accused youth was produced before the Siliguri court today.
