Siliguri, 23rd August: Sensation prevailed after the body of a missing elderly man was recovered in the Kadamtala area of Siliguri’s Matigara block. The deceased has been identified as Nishith Chandra Dutta(67). He was a resident of the Vivekananda Pally area.
Reportedly, Nishith Chandra Dutta was missing for the last four days. Locals sighted his body floating in a pond in the Kadamtala area on Monday morning. The incident was reported to the Matigara police. Police recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for autopsy. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
