Siliguri, 08th January: An incident of theft surfaced where miscreants made way with cash and jewellery from a vacant residence in the Baghajatin Colony area under Siliguri’s Ward number 45.
Reportedly, a person named Naveen, living in a rented house in Baghajatin Colony, had gone to Bihar for some work. During this, the miscreants engaged in the robbery.
On Monday morning, the landlord called and informed Naveen regarding the theft. Upon arriving, Naveen spotted his house lock broken and household items scattered. Subsequently, the matter was informed to the police.
In this regard, Naveen stated that about Rs 22 thousand in cash and some silver items were stolen. At present, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire incident.
