Siliguri, 16th October: Matigara police have arrested a man in possession of a stolen motorcycle. The accused, identified as Sumant Biswas, is a resident of the Ashighar Outpost area under Bhakti Nagar police station.
According to reports, the bike was stolen from a residence within the jurisdiction of Matigara police station on October 7. The bike’s owner lodged a complaint, prompting the police to launch an investigation. CCTV footage helped in identifying the crime.
On Tuesday night, Sumant Biswas was spotted heading towards the Matigara police station area with the stolen bike. Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested him. Biswas was produced before the Siliguri court on Wednesday.
