Siliguri, 21st February: Darjeeling MP Raju Bista met the family of the deceased 15-year-old who was found hanging under mysterious circumstances in Siliguri.
Earlier, the police recovered the body of a minor Subhojit Rudro hanging from a tree inside the boundary wall of an empty land in the Pramod Nagar area under the jurisdiction of the Matigara police station.
After the incident came to the fore, mystery shrouded the death as the father of the deceased alleged that his son was murdered. On Wednesday, the deceased body was handed over to the family members after a post-mortem at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). After the incident, the family and locals protested with the body on Pramod Nagar Road, demanding justice and unearthing the precise reason behind the death.
Meanwhile, upon learning about the incident, MP Raju Bista met and spoke to the family members of the deceased. The MP expressed condolences and assured justice. Additionally, the MP gathered further details about the entire incident from the police.
