Siliguri, 23rd November: A horrifying incident surfaced from Siliguri where a 14-year-old minor boy has been apprehended by the police for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl. The dreadful incident took place on Friday in the Ashighar Outpost area.
According to reports, the accused minor resides with his mother in a rented house. On the day of the incident, his mother was away at work. During this, he lured the victim, who was playing outside, into his home under the pretense of letting her watch the television. However, he allegedly sexually assaulted the child.
The horrific incident came to light when a neighbor, alerted by the child’s cries, rushed to the house and intervened. The traumatized 4-year-old was immediately rescued and rushed to Siliguri District Hospital for medical attention.
Later, a formal complaint was lodged at the Ashighar Outpost, prompting the police to investigate. Based on the evidence gathered, the minor was arrested and subsequently presented before the juvenile court on Saturday. The entire incident is under further investigation.
