Siliguri, 19th January: State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb inaugurated various projects of SJDA at various parts of the city. Eight projects were inaugurated and the foundation stone was laid for another project at Dooars bus stand in Bidhan Market, on Tuesday.
SJDA Chairman Vijay Chandra Barman and other SJDA officials and members were present during the programme.
The projects that were inaugurated are the boundary of Tarai school ground, mastic roads in Ward No. 27 and 13, and a toilet block in Khudiram Pally. The foundation stone of the statue of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy was also laid at Bidhan Market.
On the other hand, several new road projects were inaugurated in Ward No. 36 at a cost of 10 crore 91 lakh rupees.
