Siliguri, 05th January: Starting today, the 10th Sub-Divisional Book Fair commenced at Siliguri’s YMA ground and will continue till January 10.
State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb inaugurated the book fair by lighting lamps. Besides, IAS Suparna Das, Vice-Chancellor Mahendranath Roy, renowned writer Soumen Nag, Vice Chairman of SJDA Nantu Pal, and many others were present during the inaugural ceremony.
Reportedly, this fair has been held in different areas under the Siliguri subdivision for the last 9 years. However, this is the first time the fair has been organized at the YMA grounds. Keeping in mind the ongoing pandemic, various precautionary measures have been taken on the fair premises. A total of 45 stalls have been set up in the book fair.
