Minister Goutam Deb distributed land lease among 14 families in Gajoldoba

Rajganj, 20th September: The state government provided land lease to 14 evicted families for rehabilitation. On Sunday, State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb officially handed over the leases at Hawa Mahal in Gajoldoba.


It is to be noted that a steel bridge is being constructed over the Teesta Canal which flows by Gajoldoba’s ‘Bhorer Alo’. Around 80 crore rupees have been allocated for the construction of the bridge.


In this concern, the lands of 14 families have been damaged. As a result, land leases were handed over to the affected families on behalf of the State Government. Besides, lands, as well as cash, were provided to them.

Rajganj MLA Khageshwar Roy, Panchayat Samiti president Purnima Roy, BDO NC Sherpa, BLLRO Rupak Chandra Bhawal, and many others were present during the programme.
