Bagdogra, 19th September: West Bengal Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Dilip Ghosh participated in the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ at Bagdogra Airport on Saturday as part of the month-long programme marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and 25 years in public service.
As part of the initiative, service-oriented activities, including a cleanliness drive and a tree plantation campaign, were organised at the airport. Minister Dilip Ghosh personally took part in the cleanliness drive and was seen cleaning the premises with a broom in hand.
Ministers of State Santanu Pramanik and Anandamay Barman were also present during the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Dilip Ghosh said that the nationwide ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ is currently underway. He added that a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ has been launched to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, with cleanliness being a major component of the initiative.
He further said that the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, in collaboration with the airport authorities, has undertaken the programme at Bagdogra Airport.
