Met Department issues orange alert for North Bengal

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for multiple districts in North Bengal, effective from the 2nd to the 7th of July. As per the forecast, these districts, namely Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, and Alipurduar, are expected to experience heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.
