Siliguri, 25th August: In support of the 7-point demands, the Darjeeling District CPI submitted a memorandum to the Deputy-Mayor of the Municipal Corporation. A representative team led by Animesh Banerjee, secretary of the organization, submitted the said memorandum today in Siliguri which includes road repair, cleaning of drain, and repair of bad lights before Durga Puja, drinking water system, and traffic problems.
Speaking in this regard, Animesh Banerjee stated that the people in the city should be provided with all the necessary and proper services before Durga Puja. In demand to this, a memorandum has been submitted by them to the Deputy-Mayor of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. He further added that they would launch a massive agitation if their said demands are not met within September 15.
