Memorandum submitted to Kharibari BDO alleging corruption in Jal Jeevan Mission project

Kharibari, 18th September: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kharibari-Buraganj Mandal Committee has submitted a memorandum to the BDO of Kharibari, raising several allegations of corruption in the Prime Minister’s Jal Jeevan Mission project.

On Wednesday, BJP leaders and workers conducted a rally from the Kharibari BJP party office to the BDO office, where they staged a protest.

The allegations include the use of old water pipes in some houses, and the use of iron and plastic pipes in others. It was also reported that water is leaking from newly constructed water tanks before the foundation stone has been laid, and that contractors are using old clothes to reinforce taps.

Kharibari-Buraganj Mandal President Kalyan Kumar Prasad cautioned that to end corruption in the Jal Jeevan Mission project, all Panchayat members of the block will be required to meet and provide accurate information within 10 days, or face a large-scale protest.
