Naxalbari, 08th September: Boards of various Panchayats of Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad have been formed. Despite this, many works regarding development have come to a halt in the area. To accelerate these works, the Naxalbari BJP Mandal submitted a memorandum to the Collective Development Officer in support of the 12-point demands today.
Various demands were made including commencing a solid waste management project in Naxalbari, development fish market, roads of market and college, street lights, and restoration of Batariya River Lockgate. Mandal President Shatrughan Sahni said that a memorandum has been submitted in regard to the 12-point demand.
