Siliguri, 29th August: Snatching incidents are on the rise in Siliguri. To increase security in the city, a memorandum was issued by BJP’s No-02 Mandal Committee at Khalpara outpost today.
It has been learned that a rally was taken out on behalf of BJP No 02 Mandal Committee and a protest was staged at Khalpara outpost. A memorandum was also handed over.
In this regard, BJP no 02 Mandal Committee President Amit Jain said that the incidents of snatching are increasing with each passing day. Traders are worried after the incident in Nayabazar. Questions have been raised about police surveillance. He added that a memorandum had also been issued earlier demanding the strengthening of security in the city. Once again, a memorandum was issued today.
He further said that if surveillance is not increased, a movement will be started in front of the office of a high-ranking police officer.
