Siliguri, 07th September: Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb unveiled the Durga Puja theme of Swastika Yuvak Sangha during a program at a private hotel located at Siliguri’s Hill Cart Road on Wednesday night. Interestingly, the theme read ‘Kolponay Benaras’.
In addition to the unveiling of the theme, the club wished success for the 50th episode of the ‘Talk to Mayor’ initiative and also celebrated the 67th birthday of Mayor Goutam Deb by cutting a cake.
Bappa Pal, Secretary of Swastika Yuva Sangha’s puja committee stated that every year the club presents an attractive pooja mandap for the citizens and would continue its legacy even this year. He added that the puja committee is coming up with a totally new theme for the people this year, which, they anticipate, would win over the hearts of the people.
