Siliguri, 02nd August: The state government has given its approval for the establishment of a street food lane at S.F. Road, Siliguri. On Wednesday, Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) Mayor Goutam Deb, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, SMC Commissioner Sonam Wangdi Bhutia, Members of the Mayor-Council, and other municipal officials visited the site to assess the area.
According to reports, the street food lane will feature kiosks showcasing a variety of street food options. Mayor Goutam Deb mentioned that the road would be widened for this purpose, and the Public Works Department (PWD) would oversee the construction work. Additionally, the mayor highlighted that beautification efforts would be undertaken alongside the construction of the street food lane.
