Siliguri, 04th January: A meeting on various issues related to the Eco-Sensitive Zone was held at the Siliguri Municipal Corporation on Saturday, chaired by Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, the District Magistrate of Darjeeling, the Additional District Magistrate, the Sub-Divisional Officer of Siliguri, and officials from various organizations and concerned departments.
Discussions focused on environmental protection, conservation of forests and wildlife, and other related matters within the Eco-Sensitive Zone.
Mayor Gautam Deb emphasized that the Siliguri Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with the state administration, is committed to preserving the environment. He further added that work on the Eco-Sensitive Zone will commence soon.
