Siliguri, 08th September: Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb met the residents of Ward No. 33, who fell victim to an assault by miscreants for their opposition to drug-related activities near Loknath Mandir in Siliguri’s Surya Sen Colony.
Earlier this week, four family members were allegedly attacked by drug addicts in the Mayor’s ward. The victims promptly filed a complaint at the New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Police Station, leading to the subsequent arrest of an accused individual.
Following this, Mayor Goutam Deb visited the family on Thursday night. He inquired about their well-being. Additionally, the Mayor urged the local police to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
