Naxalbari, 27th March: Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb has initiated campaign efforts in Naxalbari in support of TMC candidate Gopal Lama for the Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency.
According to reports, on Wednesday, Mayor Gautam Deb, accompanied by Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh, visited several locations in Naxalbari, including Dakshin Kotia Jote, Uttar Kotia, and Deshbandhu Para, to campaign for Gopal Lama.
During the campaign, the mayor interacted with the local residents, urging them to cast their votes in favor of Gopal Lama. He expressed confidence in the support and trust of the people of Naxalbari, emphasizing the positive response received during the campaign.
Additionally, the Mayor took a jibe at BJP candidate Raju Bista for the Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency while acknowledging the claim of MLA Bishnu Prasad Sharma.
