Naxalbari, 30th November: Following the statewide SIR announcement, a ‘Banglar Vote Raksha Shibir’ was organised across booths to ensure no eligible voter’s name is excluded.
On Sunday, Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb visited the camp in Naxalbari to review its functioning.
According to reports, the initiative was taken by the Trinamool Congress to prevent public inconvenience and assist voters. On this day, the Mayor inspected the activities at the camp in Naxalbari Block 2 region, accompanied by the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Sabhadhipati and other public representatives.
Mayor Gautam Deb said significant progress has been observed in the ‘Banglar Vote Raksha Shibir’ initiative, with commendable work done constituency-wise.
He added that the task in the Siliguri Assembly area has been fully completed and praised the efforts of the BLA and BLA-2 workers.
