Siliguri, 30th June: In a significant development, the stolen locker from a car showroom robbery in Matigara, has been successfully recovered. The incident occurred during the early hours of today when miscreants invaded the car showroom, overpowering the security guards and escaping with the locker containing around Rs 24 lakh in cash. Following the incident, the Special Operations Group (SOG) and Matigara police initiated an investigation into the matter.
A few hours later, the stolen locker was discovered in Kamala Tea Garden, located in Ghoshpukur, Phansidewa. Tea workers first noticed the locker and immediately alerted the police. Upon receiving the information, the Siliguri Metropolitan Police swiftly arrived at the scene and recovered the locker. However, the miscreants had discarded the empty locker after taking the money.
