Siliguri, 22nd October: During a press conference today, DCP Kunwar Bhushan Singh stated that based on a tip-off, the Matigara Police launched operations at Phansidewa More and arrested 7 people along with 2 kgs of brown sugar. 2 vehicles, 52 thousand rupees cash, and two mobile phones were recovered from their possession.
The arrested accused have been identified as Ohedur Sheikh, Ruhul Sheikh, Muhammad Mubarak, Muhammad Aktarul Moumin, Masidur Moumin, Subodh Roy, and Pritam Roy. While the first five are residents of Kaliachak Malda, the other two are residents of Baghajatin Colony, Siliguri.
