Matigara-Naxalbari BJP candidate Anandamay Barman faces voter questions during campaign

Naxalbari, 21st March: Matigara-Naxalbari BJP candidate Anandamay Barman faced questions from a voter during his campaign in the area.

After being announced as the candidate, Anandamay Barman has been actively campaigning. On Saturday, braving rain, he visited Naxalbari market for campaign outreach, where he encountered a voter raising concerns over local drainage issues.

The voter alleged that the MLA had not visited the area over the past five years and highlighted ongoing problems related to drainage. The exchange led to a brief verbal argument between the two.

Responding to the allegations, Anandamay Barman said the individual could be a Trinamool Congress worker or supporter, adding that “they wear black glasses, so they could not see the MLA.” He also claimed that the general public is supporting them and expressed confidence of winning the election by a margin of over one lakh votes.
